"Last year for personal reasons, we had to put our house in Oakton on the market. The market was not doing very well, and it was certainly not the best time to sell. We interviewed three different realtors, including Dave. While we were very impressed with Dave, we were leaning to go with one of the other realtors, which Dave did not know at the time. However, Dave followed up with us, met with us again, and came up with an extremely creative strategy to market and ultimately sell our home. We had also seen what Dave had done with another home close to ours and understood from some of his references that he was, in fact, "Mr. Oakton." It was Dave's determination and commitment to hard work and his personality that convinced us he was our guy.
It was the best decision. The first task at hand - and it was a pretty big task - was to get the house ready to put on the market. Dave's mom, who has great talent as a decorator and an eye for detail, came out to the house and made suggestions on how to improve the appearance of our home. Her help was invaluable. We got working on these suggestions, and Dave gave us some recommendations - with no pressure at all - on businesses we might work with on some of the projects. We loved working with Julia and her crew - one of Dave's recommendations. They were professional, hard working, and got an excellent job done in a short period of time. The house was ready to go on the market in late January.
Dave and the Group worked very hard and prepared a fantastic brochure with beautiful photos and write up about our home. Dave also had a spectacular floor plan of the house prepared. the virtual tour on the internet was amazing! In addition to the MLS, Dave aggressively marketed our home using a variety of tools. Dave worked very patiently with us to effectively price the house. We had to make a few adjustments, but Dave's advice was right on the mark. In a market that had become even more difficult, the house sold in early April! We were extremely pleased with the price and the lovely couple who purchased our home.
