Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts  Wolf Trap plays a valuable leadership role in both the local and national performing arts communities. A typical season at Wolf Trap includes something for everyone with performances ranging from pop, country, folk, and blues to orchestra, dance, theater, and opera, as well as innovative performance art and multimedia presentations.

Washington & Old Dominion Regional Park  The 100-foot-wide W&OD has been called "the skinniest park in Virginia." But it is also one of the longest parks, 45 miles of paved trail for walking, running, bicycling and skating and 32 miles of adjacent gravel trail for horseback riding. Built on the roadbed of the former Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, the multi-use W&OD Trail runs through the urban heartland and countryside of Northern Virginia.

Difficult Run Stream Valley Park  -- This is a secluded twelve-mile hiking and biking trail was built along Difficult Run from Reston through Oakton to Great Falls Park. From Lake Fairfax Park the trail then crosses over Hunter Mill Road and follows Difficult Run all the way to Great Falls Park. Almost the entire length of Difficult Run is paralleled by the Cross County Trail Map

Nottaway Park -- At Nottoway Park, you can play tennis, basketball or volleyball, garden, picnic, work out on the fitness trail, or enjoy the quiet solitude of a wooded nature path.  A picnic shelter and picnic area may also be reserved. Hunter House, a turn-of-the-century historic mansion located on park grounds, is available for private and corporate rental. It was the residence of immigrant John C. Hunter. From 1921 to 1940, the property was a winery, producing the wine "Virginia Maid."

Lake Fairfax Park An 18-acre lake, The Water Mine - an outdoor swimming pool enveloped by a lazy river; seasonal fishing, campgrounds, picnic areas, trails, party areas, a carousel, and playground. Nominal fees are charged for the Water Mine, carousel, boating, and camping.
